AgorĂ  digitale. An association for digital freedom and democracy

Last September 6, the first congress of Agorà digitale was held in Salerno (Italy). Agorà digitale is being supported by Luca Coscioni Association and the Nonviolent Radical Party to campaign for free internet as a due basis for free thinking. In an international perspective, the congress' final declaration wishes a common transnational initiative for the reform of regulations about the copyright and the privacy. Moreover the congress commits itself to promote "free software" also through the participation in ongoing international initiatives lead by similar groups, mainly at European level. Starting from September 3, Philippe Aigrain, former Head of “Software Technologies” in the European Commission Information Society Technologies and Richard Falkvinge, leader of the Swedish Pirate Party took part in the event.
