Dr. Marco Traub had gained considerable experience, over the past 20 years, in a number of management roles; research director and CSO of a biotechnology company in Switzerland. Chair of the Trans European Stem Cell Therapy Consortium (TESCT) and EU-Commission Expert in FP7 and the Innovative Medicine Initiative (IMI JU), which is a public private partnership between the European Commission (FP6/FP7 Health and Life Sciences) and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and COST framework for Switzerland. While in Switzerland and UK, he specialized in Biotechnology, with focus on PCR technology and peptide synthesis and their GMP production. In parallel he was Assistant Prof. at the Medical School, University of Kansas City, involved in research projects on opiate receptor pharmacology and cloning and distribution in human and teaching molecular medicine as well visiting scientist at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galtveston Texas. MT professional experiences also include as a founding manager of a SME (Biotechnology). His current technical expertise is focused on stem cell isolation, expansion and microarrays. In addition, he has participated successfully in grant applications and (EU) funded projects and has received Exploratory and Research awards from EU-Commission and Swiss Government due to following selected projects: "Development of Ultrasensitive Diagnostic Assays for the Detection of Genetic Disorders, Infections and for Monitoring the Therapeutic Success following Gene Therapy†and “Establishment of novel Targets for Risk Assessment and monitoring of Xenogeneic Infections in the Course of Animal to Human Transplantation.
