Dennis Patterson took a PhD in philosophy and a J.D. In law from the University of Buffalo in New York, USA. He has published many books and articles in jurisprudence, philosophy, trade law as well as law and neuroscience. He holds the Chair in Legal Theory at the European University Institute in Florence. His book, Minds, Brains and Law (OUP, 2013) (with Michael Pardo) is the first full-length treatment of the philosophical issues in law and neuroscience.
