Public discussions – in part, also those inspired by the traditional humanistic categories of analysis – nowadays tend to ignore or underestimate the function and the role that culture and scientific research play in the maturation and maintenance of modern democracy and of liberal values ​​that shaped their origins and evolution. This has very well defined rooted from a historical and cultural point of view, and this process has also been favored by sector-based skills, and by the prevalence of cultural conceptions of the organization and government of the political systems that favor models and reasonings produced within the framework of case-law and economics.
